Client: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust recently procured minor refurbishment works via Construction Impact Framework’s (CIF) refurbishment lot. The scheme, carried out at Bealey’s Hospital had a scope of works included strip out works, construction of new partition walls, the supply and installation of new flooring, various decoration works and associated heating / plumbing works.
Chorley-based D&G Builders and Joiners Ltd. were the CIF supply partner appointed to carry out the works, via direct-appointment. Following a short programme of works, the scheme was completed on time and on budget.
This was one of a number of minor works schemes that D&G Builders & Joiners Ltd were appointed to by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust over the spring. Feedback from our public-sector members indicates that procuring minor works can often prove challenging; here at CIF we believe we can help members overcome this challenge as we have a number of SME supply partners who are willing and capable of undertaking small works, all of whom can be appointed in an efficient, compliant manner.
Construction Impact Framework is a value based socially driven framework; please have a look at our social impact case studies to see how Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Construction Impact Framework are changing lives through procurement.
