CIF Sponsored Princes Trust Course – Cohort Number 2


Following on from the successful completion of our first sponsored Prince’s Trust ‘Get Into…’ programme in late 2017, we are delighted to be able to introduce you to the next cohort of young people who will be participating on the programme.

Supporting the development of young people is a key social objective of CIF, particularly for those who for whatever reason, lack the experience and / or skills employers are looking for; whether it is because they have young children to look after, or because they have spent much of their lives caring for a loved one for example. The ‘Get Into…’ course provides young people with that experience and skills training, as well providing a platform to increase self-confidence, amongst other key interpersonal skills. Following completion of the course, many participants are successful in finding paid employment, often in the sector in which they were placed.

The second CIF-sponsored course will take place at Salford Royal Hospital, during which the young people will be placed across several operational departments including Portering, Procurement & Logistics, IM&T and Learning & Development. Over the next few weeks each of the young people will work alongside dedicated staff from Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in their respective departments, learning and carrying out those roles.

Over the coming weeks we will be introducing you to each of the young people who are participating on the course and telling you a little bit about their story, and how they progress through the course.

For the time being, here are the 10 young people, whom you will learn more about over the coming weeks:
