Client: East Lancashire NHS Trust
East Lancashire NHS Trust recently procured minor refurbishment works via Construction Impact Framework’s (CIF) refurbishment lot. The scheme, carried out at Royal Blackburn Hospital in Blackburn included the supply and installation of various root mounted columns with LED fittings across several car parks and exit / roadways.
Chorley-based D&G Builders and Joiners Ltd. were the CIF supply partner appointed to carry out the works, via direct-appointment. Following a short programme of works, the scheme was completed on time and on budget.
This was one of a number of minor works schemes that a CIF supply partner was appointed to by one of public-sector members in recent times. Feedback from our public-sector members indicates that procuring minor works can often prove challenging; here at CIF we believe we can help members overcome this challenge as we have a number of SME supply partners who are willing and capable of undertaking small works, all of whom can be appointed in an efficient, compliant manner.
