CIF joins with The Mind Map to train 10 LJMU students in mental health first aid…

We are delighted to announce that we will be working with Phil Bridges and the Mind Map to train students from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in vital mental health first aid. This is possible because of LJMU, who have procured a number of construction schemes through Construction Impact Framework (CIF) over the past several months.

Ten students from LJMU will be trained over two days as mental health first aiders, equipped to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health. Phil Bridges, founder of ‘The Mind Map’ said “Early intervention and peer support are key to improving student mental health. University can be a stressful and challenging time as students adjust to excitement and exhilaration but also potential issues such as alienation and dislocation. We are delighted to assist students in being able to support mental health”.

Our very own impact manager, Joanne Anderson, expressed her delight at the upcoming project; “We are thrilled to be working with The Mind Map to up skill students in vital mental health training. We will ensure the cohort is representative of the student body to ensure accessibility and a positive impact for all students”.

We are delighted that our latest social impact project has been featured in November’s edition of the Liverpool Business post:
