LJMU Appoints CIF Supply Partner Actua to provide Contract Administrator Services on multiple campus schemes.


Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) through Construction Impact Framework (CIF) has appointed Actua Chartered Surveyors to provide contract administrator services for multiple university projects. Actua were appointed via the CIF framework following a mini completion earlier in the year for two schemes and have been appointed as the winning consultant for both projects.

The two projects are part of the universities summer refurbishment works and comprise of the refurbishment of staff areas and post graduate rooms, with works planned for summer 2020.

The two projects consist of the refurbishment of post graduate and student services rooms in the universities John Foster Building and works to refurbish staff rooms within five of the universities city centre campus buildings. The refurbishment works across the city centre consist of the general refurbishment of various rooms including;

  • Strip out
  • Remodelling
  • M&E upgrades
  • Decoration
  • Flooring
  • Furnishings

Actua will provide contract administration works, the services provide to the university for both projects will include;

  • Pre and pro contract services
  • Overseeing of progress meetings
  • Issuing of cost reports
  • Manage the projects to practical completion
