Another Successful Handover to LJMU by CIF Supply Partner Skyline

Liverpool John Moores University summer works scheme procured through Construction Impact Framework (CIF) included external works to be carried out on LJMU’s Rodney House. CIF supply partner Skyline Property Solutions was appointed via mini-competition to carry out the scheme; with works commencing at the beginning of July 2019.

The project included the re-roofing of all flat roofed areas to the rear of the building including the removal and replacement of existing edge protection. Due to structural movement eastern parapet walls were demolished and re-built in keeping with other external walls.  All external fire escapes to the rear of the building were replaced like for like to ensure both high quality safety and to maintain consistent exterior approach. The demolition and renovation of the ‘Store Room’ roof and parapet wall structure was also carried out.

The full set of works on the exterior of Rodney House carried out by Skyline were completed in early September 2019 and shows the high quality when working on historical building in a built-up area. Skyline finished the scheme both on time and on budget.
