CIF Supply Partner JD Engineering appointed by LJMU as M&E Contractor


Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) through Construction Impact Framework (CIF) has appointed JD Engineering to carry outs M&E works for the replacement of a university building chiller. JD Engineering were appointed via the CIF framework following a mini completion in Spring 2020 with works due to commence in late June 2020.

The project involves the replacement of the existing chiller with a new chiller system present at roof level and associated pipework to be installed at the university’s Tithebarn building. The works are to include the dismantling and removal of the existing roof level chiller with the steel supporting platform to be retained and modified in accordance with drawings to accommodate the new chiller system and the installation of a new buffer vessel and supporting frame system. The new chiller is to be transported to site by the contractor, the larger components of the existing chiller are to be craned off the roof top and the new chiller craned into position.
