Client: Liverpool John Moores University
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has appointed Skyline Property Solutions (SPS) to undertake two refurbishment schemes as part of the university’s wider scheme of summer works.
Under one scheme SPS will carry out the complete refurbishment of an existing teaching room at the university’s Redmond Building to create a brand new media suite. The scope of works include HVAC as well as general room refurbishment. Under the same scheme, the basement of Egerton Court will be converted to create a brand new academic space for staff.
Under a second scheme at Rodney House, SPS will undertake external works, the scope of which includes the re-roofing of all flat roofed areas, the demolition of a parapet wall which is to be rebuilt like-for-like and the replacement of existing fire escape structures. It is anticipated that both schemes will be completed by early September, just in time for the start of the new academic year.
SPS were successfully appointed to both schemes via mini-competition, and we look forward to following the team’s progress at both sites across the coming weeks and months.
