Manchester Sleepout 2018 – Total Funds Raised Announcement…

Last year we announced that Construction Impact Framework (CIF) would launch its first ever joint investment initiative. In November 2018, alongside our partners Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and University of Salford, we sponsored and participated in the Manchester Sleepout, hosted by the Booth Centre.

The Booth Centre is an organisation in Manchester that supports those who find themselves sleeping on streets find permanent accommodation, employment and improved health and wellbeing. Their support services are making a massive difference in the fight against homelessness across the Manchester region and we were delighted to be able to support them in this venture.

We are pleased to announce that following the event, which was held on Friday 9th November 2018, the total amount raised stands at…

£140,000.00!

This money will go directly to the Booth Centre and will make a significant impact on the lives of many people who find themselves homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Over the next few months CIF will be monitoring the impact monies raised from this event will have on the lives of those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Manchester. We intend to produce a full ‘impact’ report that will demonstrate the true power of social procurement and strategic collaboration in improving lives and communities across the North West.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our supply partners who either participated on the night or made donations on behalf of the CIF team. Special thanks also go to our members, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Salford who continue to procure via CIF and make such social investments possible, and look forward to further collaboration in 2019.
