Prince’s Trust ‘Get into Hospital’ Course – A Follow-Up Report

In 2017 we profiled Cherie, a young woman who was one of the participants on the CIF sponsored ‘Get into Hospital’ Course organised between the Prince’s Trust and Salford Royal Foundation Trust. Following completion of the course and Cherie’s graduation, we are delighted to update you on what Cherie has been up to since, and her plans for the future.

Cherie’s progress.

As a full time carer for her Sister, Cherie’s goal is to secure a place in University. The on-going support from the Prince’s Trust means Cherie has now been appointed a mentor from the Trust who will work with her to achieve this goal. Since completing her course, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has provided Cherie with a number of volunteer placements to give Cherie a flavour of different roles within the NHS and help her make an informed choice about her future education and employment goals. With the continued support from the Princes Trust and the opportunities provided by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust we think Cherie is definitely a rising star!
