Northern Care Alliance appoint CIF supply partner F Parkinson for Emergency Department Reconfiguration


Northern Care Alliance NHS Group have appointed F Parkinson to carry out Emergency Department reconfiguration works as the group’s Royal Oldham Hospital. Parkinson were appointed in June 2020 following a mini competition through the CIF framework. Parkinson commenced works on site in August 2020 and works are estimated to be complete in Spring 2021.

The works to be carried out by Parkinson comprise of the extension and reconfiguration of the Emergency Department at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

The works include:

  • Demolition and alterations
  • Groundworks
  • Piling
  • Structural steelwork
  • Curtain walling
  • Internal partitions
  • Floor
  • Wall and ceiling finishings
  • Joinery works
  • Fixtures and fittings
  • Plumbing
  • Decoration
  • Mechanical and electrical services installations
  • External works

CIF consultants Day Architectural, SI Sealy, Alan Johnston Partnership and Nationwide CDM all provided services on the project including full construction drawing pack, project budget plan, M&E services, Structural services and Design Risk Management.

                                       

CIF M&E contractors The James Mercer Group and A Copeland Group are also part of the project contractor team carrying out mechanical works and electrical works respectively.
