CIF Sponsors The Manchester Sleepout for a Second Year

On Friday 8th November our team joined hundreds of others in braving the weather and sleeping outside Manchester Cathedral in a amazing effort to raise funds for the Booth Centre. The Booth Centre provides positive change in the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, to help them plan for and realise a better future. For the second year the Sleepout was sponsored by Construction Impact Framework (CIF) and two of our partners; The University of Salford and Salford Royal (Northern Care Alliance).

The 2018 Manchester Sleepout raised a staggering £155,000, which when invested into Booth Centre activities created £877,000 worth of social return on investment; helping to provide services that would not be available to homeless people across the city otherwise. At the opening of this years 2019 Sleepout the total raised was already at £60,000 surpassing the opening figure for last years event, therefore we are hoping that the grant total of money raised this year will exceed last years total. The full impact report on the social investment of the 2018 Manchester Sleepout will be available soon showing the full extent of the impact the money raised has on the lives of so many vulnerable individuals.

Along with members of the CIF team, some CIF Supply Partners also supported the event with generous donations and a few even joined us to brave the cold night.

Robertson Construction Reginal Managing Director- Dirk Pittaway, CIF Director- Sara Lawton and Team Robertson

D&G Builders and Joiners Managing Director- Damien Ormerod and Team CIF

Morgan Sindall Framework Manager- Jason Ward, Team CIF and Team Morgan Sindall

CIF would like to thank our partners the University of Salford and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. By procuring socially and consciously through CIF these two organisations have allowed our sponsorship of the event for a second year. The social value we are able to deliver is a direct result of public sector organisations choosing to procure construction works and services through CIF.

We would also like to thank many of our supply partners who supported the event, Robertson Group, Morgan Sindall and D&G Builders and Joiners who took part in the event, helping to raise incredible amounts of money and awareness of the Booth Centre. Also many thanks to our supply partners who kindly made donations.

Countless thanks to Amy and the rest of the team from the Booth Centre with whom we have worked closely over the past two years. Amy and the team did an excellent job in organising the sleepout and it has been a pleasure being able to support such a fantastic organisation.

Please visit the Booth Centre website HERE to find out more about the work they do.
