The James Mercer Group appointed to carry out Phase 3 M&E works at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust


The James Mercer Group have been successfully appointed by The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust to carry out phase 3 of the heating pipe replacement for The Walton Centre. James Mercer were appointed following mini competition and have commenced worked at the Walton Centre based on the Aintree University Hospital in the North of Liverpool.

The Walton Centre is the only specialist centre in the UK dedicated to provide comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services. Servicing an area of approximately 3.5 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, the Isle of Man, North Wales and beyond.

The scope of works for the project is the installation of new LTHW pipework, including both clinical/non clinical departments and the potential for a small amount of supporting plant, plus the removal of the de-commissioned pipework.

James Mercer have completed and handed over both phase 1 and phase 2 of the project to the client (pictured below). The Walton Centre has expressed satisfaction in the performance of James Mercer and look forward to working with them on phase 3.
